Burdock consists primarily of carbohydrates, plant sterols, tannins and fatty oils.
Research indicates that the herb has anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and antibacterial effects. The roots, young shoots, stalks and dried seeds contain compounds with anti-oxidant, disease-preventing and health-promoting properties. Burdock has a laxative effect, and inulin found in the root helps reduce blood sugar and cholesterol levels in the blood.
Willow Burdock tincture is free of any artificial ingredients and preservatives. It may be recommended for aiding with dry and scaly skin, psoriasis, eczema, dandruff as well as rheumatic complaints and to heal cystitis.
Suggested use: To be taken 3 times a day.
Adults & children over 12 yrs: Take 15 drops.
Children under 12 yrs: Take 5 to 10 drops.
Infants: take 1 to 5 drops (in hot water).
