Cloves are dried, unopened flower buds and can be used in both savoury and sweet dishes.

Suggested use:

They feature strongly in Asian, Middle Eastern and African cuisine. Add to curries, stews, broccoli and cauliflower dishes, fried rice, and to meat marinades. Use in milk puddings, stewed fruit, apple pie, mulled wine and for pickling. Use sparingly as can be overpowering.
