Fennel seeds can be used whole or ground up, in both sweet and savoury recipes. Fennel features in many spice blends, and in chai masala. Fennel seeds also support healthy digestion, so chew a few or use to brew a tea.

Suggested use:

Dry roast to release the flavour. Its subtle, anise-like flavour pairs well with roast meat, fish, seafood chowders, curries and baked goods. Add to season roast sweet potatoes and butternut.
