Organic Flax Seed

Flax seeds are naturally gluten free and have a mild nutty taste, they retain water so they can be used as an egg substitute or thickener as well as a whole grain alternative to commercial flours.

However, it must be noted that the body cannot absorb the nutrients from the seeds when whole, they should be ground into a flour, sprouted or taken in an oil form to ensure that nutrients are absorbed by the body.

Suggested use:

Add to smoothies and porridge’s or use to garnish Buddha bowls. Flax seed can be used in place of eggs for baking.
