    Avoiding Petrochemicals:

    Petrolatum (better known as petroleum jelly) and mineral oil are both petrochemicals. They have no nutritive benefit to the skin at all. They give a temporary perception of moisture as they sit on the surface of the skin instead of being absorbed.
