    Suggested use: Add 1 cup polenta to 3-4 cups boiling water and whisk. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes while stirring until the polenta pulls away from the sides of the pot.

    Essentially polenta is yellow maize meal that is cooked with water like porridge and can be used as a base for toppings such as cheese, meat, or vegetables. It can also be set in the refrigerator, giving it dough-like texture, to be cut or moulded and grilled, or toasted in the oven.

     

    Suggested use: Stir one part Polenta into one part boiling water in a saucepan and bring to the boil . Cook for 10 minutes. Stir continuously until it is smooth.

    Cooking tip:  1 cup (250ml) raw polenta makes 4 cups (1l) cooked polenta. One serving is usually 1/2 cup (125ml) cooked Polenta
